Threat Library

The Threat Library is a workspace-wide catalogue of reusable TARA building blocks. Open it from Risk Manager → LibrariesThreat Library. It organises TARA entities into four inter-linked types: Attack Steps, Attack Paths, Damage Scenarios, and Threat Scenarios. Each type has a dedicated list view and a detail page with full create, edit, and delete support.

Use the tab bar at the top of the Threat Library to switch between entity types. The tabs appear in the order Attack Steps, Attack Paths, Damage Scenarios, Threat Scenarios, and opening the Threat Library lands on the Attack Steps tab. A Return to Risk Manager link at the top of the tabbed list pages navigates back; detail pages instead show a Return to link for their entity list (e.g. Return to Threat Scenarios).

TARA Graph Navigation

Entities are cross-linked so you can traverse the TARA graph without leaving the library:

  • A Threat Scenario detail page shows its related Damage Scenarios and Attack Paths.
  • A Damage Scenario detail page shows its own Impact Ratings and Security Properties (it does not list related Threat Scenarios).
  • An Attack Path detail page shows its related Attack Steps.
  • An Attack Step detail page shows the Attack Paths that reference it.

Rows are not clickable as a whole — in list and relationship tables, click the entity’s ID (its reference, rendered as a link) to open that entity’s detail page. Relationships also appear as clickable reference chips.

Common Actions

All four entity types share the same interaction model:

  • List page — a table of entries with a New button in the toolbar and a per-row Delete action (with confirmation dialog).
  • Create — clicking New opens a form dialog. References are auto-generated (TS-xxx, DS-xxx, AP-xxx, AS-xxx); the dialog has no reference input.
  • Detail page — shows the entry’s details and relationships. Click Edit to open the same form in a modal dialog, then Save Changes to persist or Cancel to discard.
